The arithmetic of a recommendation.
You already tell your readers about the books. The Circle pays you for it: 20–30% of what they actually spend, tracked for sixty days, settled monthly. Every number is below — no fog, no fine print.
Run your numbers
Two readers in a hundred find their book. Move the slider to your audience and watch what each circle pays.
| Circle | Rate | Per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Herald — where everyone starts | 20% | $360 | $4,320 |
| Envoy — earned at $2,500 settled | 25% | $450 | $5,400 |
| Sovereign — earned at $10,000 settled | 30% | $540 | $6,480 |
2 in 100 readers × a $90 book. Your actual sky will differ — the ledger never lies about it either way.
The ladder, in numbers
| Circle | Commission | Earned at | The climb |
|---|---|---|---|
| Herald | 20% of net revenue | Admission | Every place in the Circle starts here |
| Envoy | 25% of net revenue | $2,500 settled across 25+ orders | The new rate applies from promotion — your whole base steps up |
| Sovereign | 30% of net revenue | $10,000 settled across 100+ orders | The top circle — earned by volume, never negotiated |
The settlement calendar
The 60-day window
A reader who clicks your link and buys within sixty days is yours — the last link touched earns, and our own campaigns never overwrite your credit.
The 30-day hold
Commissions hold thirty days after the order — the window refunds and chargebacks land in — then turn payable. You are never clawed back from your own pocket; reversals simply never pay out.
Settled on the 1st
Payable commissions settle monthly, on the first, by PayPal — once your balance crosses $50. Smaller balances roll forward, never expire while you're active.
Net means net
Commission is on what the reader actually paid — discounts reduce the base, taxes and shipping never count. The number on your page is the number that settles.
The rules, on one card
What keeping a place requires
Tell your readers you earn a commission — plainly, in the post itself, in their language. Don't bid on our name in ads, don't invent outcomes, don't spam. That's the whole shape of it.
The full version is the Circle Program Agreement ↗ — plain language, every number above written into it.
Ask for a place
The Circle is small on purpose. Tell us where your readers are; a person reads every ask within two days.
